Happy Easter!

Easter morning, baskets without a basket, chocolates hidden inside and treat filled eggs outside. Prayer and breakfast around the table: warm scones, topped with strawberries and fresh whipped cream, berry smoothies for the fellas and a green smoothie for me. 

Church this morning was fantastic. Definitely my favorite sermon in the current series and maybe my favorite over, since attending Waterway. Refreshing and challenging, thought provoking and warm. Not a typical Easter Morning sermon, but that's why I like our pastor so much. Very little is typical of my past church experiences. 

We had plans to go be with a friend of Jonathan's and her family for Easter dinner, but unfortunately circumstances of life did not allow. With yesterday a whirlwind of activity from 5:30 am to 10:30 pm, no chance to plan a big meal, so grilled egg salad sandwiches it is! 

The boys are enjoying breaking their Lenten fast: Chas from spending money and Elliott from soda. 

 

I fasted from sugar/sweets, but I feel so great I think I will continue. A little later today I think we will find our way to the trails for a little biking and jogging, but for now it's a lazy afternoon. We hope you and yours are well.
